Hoshizaki Error Code Reference
Hoshizaki commercial ice machines display error codes when something needs attention. Here is what each code means.
E1 — Float Switch Error
Water level float switch malfunction. Inspect float for scale buildup or stuck position. Replace if necessary.
E2 — High Pressure Cutout
Head pressure tripped the safety switch. Clean condenser coil, check fan motor operation, verify ambient temperature is in range.
E3 — Low Voltage
Incoming voltage below specification. Check building electrical supply and the unit's incoming voltage at the terminal block.
E4 — Compressor Lock
Compressor unable to start. Could be locked rotor, run capacitor failure, or contactor issue.
E5 — Sensor Failure
Bin thermistor or evaporator thermistor reading out of range. Replace the affected sensor.
